Introducing our first quarterly newsletter
We’re thrilled to share the debut of the Fairfield County Symphony Society’s quarterly newsletter! This new initiative, suggested by our dedicated board, is designed to keep our members, supporters, and community informed and connected. You’ll find updates on recent performances, member spotlights, and upcoming events, as well as ways to get involved. Whether you’re a musician, donor, or supporter, this newsletter is for you.
Check out our first issue (December 2024). Stay tuned for future editions as we continue to build on the sense of community that makes FCSS so special!

On Tuesday, September 17th, FCSS had the pleasure of being joined by two world-class violinists: father and son duo, Albert and Alexander Markov, who have both resided in Norwalk since 1979. FCSS accompanied Alexander on Vivaldi’s “Winter, and was also treated to a duet for violin and viola — composed by Albert himself! We welcome them back at any time!
We invite anyone interested in performing a solo, guest conducting, or leading the orchestra in a workshop. If you'd like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you!
Tuning in: members share their perspectives of the orchestra
In April 2024, the FCSS Board conducted a survey to gather members' thoughts and suggestions for improvement.
